With a broad range of high quality equipment, cutting-edge technology, and worldwide support, covering virtually all major aspects of track maintenance and constructionJob Description* Monitor, investigate, and report on machine reliability.* Identify and implement machine improvements related to safety, obsolescence, maintainability, and reliability.* Provide daily technical support to machine crews and field maintenance teams.* Conduct hands-on investigations and implement solutions for arising issues.Qualifications & Skills:* Education: Minimum HND/HNC in an engineering discipline or Bachelor's degree.* Technical Skills:o Broad engineering knowledge (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems).o Experience with design tools such as Solid Edge, Creo, and TeamCentre.o Familiarity with on-track or construction machinery or similar heavy equipment is advantageous.o Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.o Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Competencies:o Numeracy and analytical skills.o Self-motivation, discipline, and the ability to work independently or within a team.o Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative.Behaviours & Attributes:* Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.* Ethical, accountable, and promotes transparency.* Professional integrity: open, truthful, and willing to raise concerns when needed.* Adaptive and responsive to feedback.* Ability to read and understand technical design documents, schematics, and drawings.* Holds a valid driver's license.Responsibilities & Duties:* Liaise with customers, including Network Rail SCO.* Prepare and deliver monthly reliability reports using data from the maintenance system (FAMS).* Develop minor machine modifications and issue service bulletins.* Implement changes to maintenance processes via technical bulletins.* Optimize designs to achieve the best balance of cost, reliability, and performance.* Collaborate with vendors to source and evaluate components, support manufacturing and assembly processes.* Investigate, analyze, and report safety-related defects and engineering failures.* Review safety and reliability of machines, sub-systems, and components.* Oversee maintenance processes and documentation improvements.* Support other departments with technical expertise when required.Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:* Ensure personal and team adherence to health and safety regulations.* Take reasonable care to avoid endangering yourself and others at work.* Use and maintain all personal protective equipment (PPE) provided.* Address unsafe conditions where possible and report unsafe practices.* Cooperate with health and safety initiatives and contribute to improvement plans.* Report and assist with investigations into accidents, incidents, or near misses.Additional Information:* Investigate defect trends and propose solutions.* Provide timely support to ensure the reliability and performance of machines.* Occasional travel may be required.For more information about this role and how to apply please either send your CV via email below or call me on the telephone number provided.Contact Information: Bradley Bayliss/
