Your new companyWe are recruiting on behalf of a company looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their vibrant Nottingham office. Your new roleAs an Electrical Design Engineer or Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will:Lead and manage electrical design projects across sectors such as residential, education, commercial, MoJ, and laboratories.Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery.Prepare fee proposals, engage with clients, and represent the company in meetings.Oversee team workload and ensure efficient deadline management.Provide guidance and leadership to junior engineers and graduates, fostering a collaborative work environment.Develop electrical services designs through all RIBA stages, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and Building Gateways.Attend site visits, offer technical advice, and maintain client relationships.Work on a range of projects, from small to medium-sized schemes to larger residential and commercial developments.What you'll need to succeedA degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.3-4 years of experience in electrical design engineering (5-6 years for a senior role).Proven track record in electrical design within the building services sector.Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience with design software such as RELUX, Electrical OM, and REVIT (MagiCAD familiarity is a plus).Project management skills, including coordination with internal teams and clients.Leadership abilities to mentor junior engineers and oversee project delivery.Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.What you'll get in returnThe company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the chance to be part of an inclusive and collaborative team.
