Imagine a building without any lighting, or power, or security systems. It wouldn’t be very nice for the people who live or work there, no matter how good it looks.

This is why building services engineering is so important.

You’ll be using design software packages to design electrical systems, including HV network design, and managing utility services applications.

Also electrical building services, such as LV distribution, lighting, small power, and fire and security systems.

You'll be implementing sustainable technologies into the design.

The buildings are a wide range of types: from defence to accommodation; manufacturers to leisure centres; retail to industrial. And even some heritage sites.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Full training is provided. It’s a great place for graduates; many have joined the company over the years, including some who are now in senior positions in the business,

You’ll be supported and mentored, and will work towards professional accreditations.

WHERE YOU’LL BE DOING IT

The offices are in the north-west part of Nottingham. They are well-served by public transport.

You’ll need to live in or near to the city (relocation may be ok, but you will need to have connections in the area).

At times you’ll be popping out to client, design and project meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED…

A Electrical Engineering degree (or apprenticeship trained electrician with City & Guild qualifications). Some knowledge of electrical building services (see above) is required.
