Who we need

We are looking to recruit a workshop technician to support our Engineering, Electrical Installation and Step in to STEM teams based at our Highfields campus. Key duties include:

- Setting up practical training environments that involves regular lifting, moving and maintenance checks of machinery.

- Work proactively and take initiative with limited supervision

- Record keeping

- Understand risk assessments and COSSH requirements would be an advantage, however training will be provided.

What you鈥檒l bring

The ideal candidate will have experience within a workshop or practical setting, ideally with a background in Engineering or Construction with knowledge and ability to adapt to difficult situations.

路 Excellent communication skills

路 Willingness to operate under pressure.

路 Support students undertaking practical activity.

路 Ordering of stock and maintenance of tools and equipment.

路 Ensure health and safety compliance.
