A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Low Carbon Consultant / Energy Assessor to join a growing consultancy in our client's Nottingham or Leeds office.
The Role: As a Low Carbon Consultant / Energy Assessor, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team that includes Building Services Designers, Revit Technicians, Building Physicists, and Document Controllers. You will contribute to a diverse range of projects across various market sectors, providing expertise in energy compliance, sustainability, building physics, and carbon calculations. The role spans all RIBA stages (0-6), from feasibility to final construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design team in meeting sustainability, energy, and low-carbon targets
- Use IES software to create dynamic simulation models for building performance analysis
- Prepare Energy Compliance (BRUKL), CIBSE TM52, and TM54 reports
- Conduct assessments for heat loss/gain, daylighting, and ventilation
- Collaborate with Low Carbon Consultants and Design Engineers on projects
- Manage your own workload and lead individual projects
- Provide guidance on BREEAM, Energy, and Low Carbon design solutions
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Registered Non-Domestic Energy Assessor
- Level 5 IES Energy Assessor - Proficient User
- CIBSE Low Carbon Consultant
- Degree or HNC/D in a relevant subject (or equivalent)
- In-depth knowledge of Building Regulations Part L
- Strong time management skills with a flexible, organised approach
- A team player with the ability to work independently when required
