My client is a professional membership organisation is currently recruiting for a Senior Events Manager.

The Role of Senior Events Manager

The purpose of the role of the Senior Events Manager is to be responsible for delivering a calendar of events. The role requires collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, and quality events are developed, processes and data management are optimised to support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and develop their events and training team, setting objectives, setting an example and providing support to the whole team to enable them to achieve their objectives.

Deliver end to end be responsible for managing their 2 upcoming events with the wider team to ensure success and that all target objectives and timelines are met.

To lead the team in scheduling and delivering their events with overall responsibility for meeting budgetary targets, planning and organisation, and sponsorship and exhibition outcomes.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including members, experts, and speakers to understand training content and objectives, ensuring alignment with their mission, vision and strategy.

Manage external relationships with suppliers (such as catering, AV, printers, design agency, external venues) on a regular basis (including contracts, queries, invoices)

Help with their events and training optimise its digital capability and better leverage technology through effective utilisation of their website, the virtual event platforms, and event applications.

Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required by the organisation.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills required:

Proven experience in managing events and the ability to demonstrate ownership and responsibility from conception to delivery and after care with proven results.

Experience in leveraging wider organisational activities to generate interest in events and training.

Proven ability to manage projects and resources with an ability to focus on key deliverables amongst multiple priorities.

Excellent people management skills

Ability to communicate confidently at all levels within an organisation.

Able to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation.

Ability to prioritise and to act on initiative.

Excellent CRM system skills and knowledge.
