Membership Administrator / Secretary• Location: Nottingham• Job Type: Full-time 34 hours (6 – 8 weeks temporary cover)• Salary: £23.31 per hour

Reed is seeking a Membership Administrator / Secretary to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support within our client's regional office. This role is crucial for servicing members, Branch Secretaries, Shop Stewards, and Regional Officers efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative roles, with excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a flexible approach to work.

• Provide secretarial and administrative support to Regional Officers, including managing diaries, organising meetings, and taking minutes.• Handle enquiries and provide assistance to members, Branch Secretaries, and Shop Stewards.• Process membership applications, maintain up-to-date membership data, and administer changes to member direct debit applications.• Organize and administer benefits and legal services, ensuring eligibility and following up on arrears and claims as necessary.• Maintain accurate databases and generate regular reports using Word and Excel.• Support the delivery of education services locally and provide administrative assistance to Organising Teams on an ad hoc basis.• Continuously update skills through training and adapt to changes in processes to improve service efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:• Proven office experience in a secretarial and administrative capacity.• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word..• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.• High degree of discretion and confidentiality.• Ability to draft correspondence, reports, and manage information for committees efficiently.• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
