Financial Planning Analyst - Remote

Lawfront are excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a Financial Planning Analyst, working as our corporate financial planner in this important key role. Lawfront provides legal services to individuals and businesses through leading regional law firms.

The requirements for the FP&A Analyst is to support each of our associated law firms across Lawfront, playing a crucial role in guiding financial decisions by analysing data, forecasting future performance and providing insights to help management, our executive team colleagues and leadership team, make informed decisions.

The wider role will include budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modelling and particular experience of DAX programming (Data Analysis Expressions) is essential for this role.

Core responsibilities:

  • Analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns and potential issues
  • Performing variance analysis to compare actual results to budgeted or expected results
  • Identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations to management
  • Creating financial reports and presenting findings and recommendations to management
  • Communicating complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
  • Dashboard Creation: Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support decision-making.
  • Collaborating with our various law firms to gather information/intelligence
  • Collecting, recording and managing financial data from various sources
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Using financial modelling and analytical tools to dissect complex financial information
  • Supporting strategic planning by providing financial insights and analysis
  • Providing quick and accurate answers to complex financial questions
  • Setting and tracking key performance indicators
  • Monitoring performance against targets and identifying areas of improvement

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and modelling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Data Bases, SQL, Excel, financial modelling, and data analysis.

This role is to be based remotely for most of the time with full home support provided, but you may be required to attend our various offices when needed, to present at meetings for example. Our offices based at Nelsons in Nottingham may require your presence from time to time.

Salary for this role is negotiable on experience, and you will also receive our highly competitive benefits package.
