Role responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors including SMEs, charities and larger corporate groups
- Planning, leading and reviewing audits, ensuring compliance and technical accuracy
- Acting as the primary contact for clients, offering strategic and practical advice
- Overseeing audit teams during on-site fieldwork, reviewing work and providing guidance
- Working closely with partners on complex audits, risk areas and technical challenges
- Monitoring budgets, timelines and quality standards to deliver excellent service
- Supporting the development and progression of junior staff through coaching and review
- Contributing to business development and supporting growth within the audit department

Candidate requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in audit
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage multiple audit assignments and deliver to deadline
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Experience leading audit teams and mentoring junior staff
- A proactive, commercially aware approach to client service and business growth
