Job Purpose
  • Manage a varied client portfolio, monitoring deadlines and budgets
  • Onboard new clients, ensuring best practices are always followed and implemented
  • Assist the wider team with all technical aspects of servicing clients
  • Build trusted and long-lasting client relationships, dealing with day-to-day matters effectively
  • Escalate complex queries to Partners, work closely with the senior leadership team
  • Mentor junior staff, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training
  • Organise client meetings and attend where necessary
  • Support the firm’s business development strategies, including networking
  • Regularly review processes to implement more efficient ways of service delivery
  • Set an example as a hands-on and supportive Manager

The Successful Candidate
  • ACCA / ACA qualified, part qualified or studying
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio within practice
  • Adept at using relevant accountancy software
  • Technically competent across the Microsoft suite
  • Experience using Iris suite of programs is desirable, but not essential
  • A can-do attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Highly organised and able to manage own workload effectively
  • Good communication and advisory skills
  • Confident working alongside Senior Managers
  • Self-motivated and able to inspire others
  • Collaborative and creative
  • Strong business acumen
