** Commercial Finance Business Partner Nottingham Hybrid **

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and commercially-minded Finance Business Partner to join a leading Nottingham business and provide dedicated support to one of its key departments. This role will work closely with senior leadership to manage financial performance, develop insights, and drive improvements across various business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department heads to create the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensuring a balance between challenging and achievable targets.
  • Produce monthly performance reports with supporting analysis, presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Set and track KPIs to review, challenge, and enhance overall performance.
  • Analyse commercial performance and provide actionable insights to improve departmental outcomes.
  • Oversee the department's month-end accounts and recommend appropriate provisions in partnership with managers.
  • Offer financial modelling and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide pricing advice to the bids team and stakeholders to optimise commercial outcomes.
  • Prepare business plans for recruitment, investment opportunities, and other ad hoc commercial activities, presenting recommendations to senior management.
  • Deliver coaching and training to stakeholders on finance-related topics, including KPIs, and working capital.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and operational teams, fostering collaboration across the business.

About You:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, particularly working closely with senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage large data sets and develop financial models.
  • Comfortable working with multiple IT platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to balance strategic and operational tasks.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and confident in prioritising workload in a dynamic environment.
