We are supporting a Nottingham organisation with a history spanning over one hundred years to recruit a Finance Manager for six months. This is an immediate requirement. Individuals will be immediately available or available at short notice.

The role of the Finance Manager involves the preparation of monthly management accounts for all companies, providing detailed commentary and variance analysis to inform decision-making. You will ensure that the accounting practices across the companies are coordinated, allowing for efficient consolidated reporting. In addition, you will manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring staff salaries are paid accurately and on time while handling all necessary deductions and employer charges.

A key responsibility is the completion of VAT returns for all companies. You will also oversee a small team of three direct reports, guiding and supporting them to meet their objectives. Furthermore, the role requires oversight of the invoicing process, as well as credit control and debt collection operations, ensuring smooth financial transactions.

You will assist in maintaining finance systems and records, ensuring procedures are documented and up-to-date. This includes contributing to the preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting the annual audit process for all companies.

Ideally, you will be a qualified Finance Manager (or qualified by experience) available to start a new role at short notice.
