Gleeson Recruitment Group are working exclusively in partnership with a PE backed, multisite B2C business in Nottingham who are looking to appoint a new Group Reporting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious business, with an international remit. It would be the perfect role for a technically minded accountant, who is practice trained, with proven industry experience.

You would benefit from a salary up to £75,000 and 2 days a week working from home.

Key responsibilities for the Group Reporting Manager role:

  • As the Group Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across this businesses multi-site operations.

Consolidation and Reporting:

  • Lead the consolidation of financial results from various business units.
  • Prepare and present accurate and insightful monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and private equity stakeholders.

Financial Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Provide strategic insights to support decision-making processes.

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with finance teams across business units to streamline reporting processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.

Forecasting and Budgeting:

  • Play a key role in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.

Qualifications and experience required for the position:

  • Recognised accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed environment is a plus.
