Are you seeking a fresh change with a varied 'hands on' role - This is a 'hands on' role suiting someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects with regular client contact / liaison including management of a small team.

Their client base ranges from large Limited Companies, property businesses, commercial, sole traders, hospitality, individuals of a high net worth and those in the entertainment sector as well as providing specialist tax support.

As Manager of an accountancy practice you will be joining a highly motivated team in providing the best service to our client's client base the role will involve

  • Providing a service that covers a wide range of sectors - Preparation of financial accounts for review by partners
  • Take ownership of individual clients and report to the Partners with specialist works
  • Responsibility for preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Preparation of management accounts for a variety of clients assisting clients in effectively running their businesses
  • Setting up clients with HMRC for Paye, Vat and Corporation Tax - liaising with HMRC and Companie House
  • Delegate work to Junior Staff and work with their mentoring and development
  • Able to.
  • Interaction with clients daily by phone, email and face to face meetings.
  • Assisting the Partners with portfolio management tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Assisting the firm with mentoring of Semi Senior/Senior staff.
  • Using various IT accounts systems, such as Quickbooks, Xero, Sage, Iris Lead schedules and ICAS pack.
  • Managing a team of up to 10 people

The successful candidate for the role of Manager - Accountancy Practice will be

  • Qualified CA / ACCA, Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • With a minimum of 6 years UK Accountancy firm-based experience
  • Hands on experience in general practice-year end accounts preparation, client bookkeeping, VAT and tax.
  • Highly motivated, determined to succeed with good commercial acumen and can work well within a team
