My clientis a multi-disciplined civil engineering contractor based in the East Midlands and with a growing order book are actively recruiting for a Groundworks General Foreman in Nottingham.
Working on new build housing developments, candidates will be responsible for overseeing groundworks packages (drainage, earthworks, foundations, roads/sewers, landscaping and externals), health & safety, managing direct/subcontract labour and quality checks.
Additional duties include:
- Reporting into the Contracts Manager on planning/programmes and site progress.
- Ordering materials and plant.
- Conducting daily briefings, safety inspections, toolbox talks and site inductions.
- Ensuring health & safety proceedures and policies are adhered to.
- Liaising with client's representatives.
- Attending client and subcontractor meetings.
- Coordinating direct and subcontractor workforce on site.
Successful candidates will possess:
- Valid CSCS Card, SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid at Work accreditation.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a construcion-related discipline (desirable).
- Minimum of 4years residential groundworks experience in a similar role (essential).
- NRSWA Supervisor, Confined Space and CAT & Genny trained (desirable).
- Full UK driving licence to allow travel to sites across the region.
- IT proficienct with MS Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Excellent communication skills.
