Acoustics Consultant
Outside IR35
Key experience is needed in CadnA modelling. and experience with writing acoustics planning related reports and associated assessments.
What you'll be doing
- Applying CadnA modelling experience
- Writing acoustics planning related reports and associated assessments
- Competent experience and working knowledge of the following areas of work: - standards and guidelines that govern our industry;
- Using noise and vibration monitoring equipment, and associated care and maintenance;
- Independently designing noise and vibration surveys/testing regimes
- Using noise modelling packages such as CadnaA, Insul and CATT
- Use of GIS and AutoCAD packages
- Working with design teams, architects, clients and end users
- Undertaking noise and vibration analysis
- Writing noise and vibration assessments/design reports
- Architectural and building services acoustics
- Construction noise and vibration strategy, assessment and monitoring
- Environmental acoustics and the planning process.
What you'll bring
- Relevant degree or equivalent is essential
- Relevant Masters degree is desirable
- Associate membership of the institution relevant to your discipline (for Air Quality this is the Institution of Environmental Sciences (IES) and Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) for Acoustics this is the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
