About the Role:

Aspire People is seeking an experienced Construction Tutor to join our team in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Nottingham. This role is perfect for a dedicated individual with a strong background in teaching construction and woodwork, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students who cannot be accommodated in mainstream educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and practical lessons in construction and woodwork to students with varying levels of ability.
Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students.
Manage and support students with challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the overall educational development of students.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
Requirements:

Proven experience in teaching construction and woodwork, preferably in a PRU or similar setting.
Experience working with students with challenging behavior is essential.
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
