We are looking for a Head of Billing to join a leading energy supplier. As the Head of Billing, you will be managing a team of 30 (5 direct reports) and you will be responsible for maximising efficiency and cash flow position by managing the conversion meters to cash and successfully billing the customer book in accordance with agreed KPI?s. The ideal person will have great experience in billing governance and monitoring bill-to-cash performance. To be successful in this role you will need to be data-driven and a detailed individual who can think and translate information into the bigger picture. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the billing team who cover all SME, I&C and bespoke billing
  • Refine of first-time right billing performance by improving and efficiently driving the meters to cash cycle whilst supporting debt prevention.
  • Champion, design and implement the end-to-end merchant and billing experience  
  • Support various pricing models, billing types, reporting and billing related analytics
  • Oversee the billing and coding staff to ensure that billing and coding standards are adhered to
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to billing operational efficiencies, 
  • Ensure the billing is complete, accurate, current and that revenue is optimised and assured
  • Ensure processes are fully compliant to industry regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience in a similar role within management
  • Excellent knowledge and experience within B2B billing, governance & bill to cash performance
  • Extensive knowledge of the energy/ utilities industry in a gas and power supply business in a B2B
  • Data-driven ? uses stats to report/ present
  • Leads from the front with the ability to manage teams across a range of activities.
  • A leader who can operate at the strategic level and roll up their sleeves and get into the detail 
  • Commercial mindset with a can-do attitude
  • Good customer account management and business development acumen
