We are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join a fantastic business in Nottinghamshire. The role is a permanent position supporting the HR Manager working hours are 8:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, support the HR and Health & Safety functions with various administrative tasks.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Compliance with safety rules and policies
  • Ensure  AS 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 45001 are complied with in all areas of responsibility 

Human Resources:

  • Entering employment data into the company database, payroll and employee spreadsheets
  • Assisting with the hiring process, setting up interviews, contacting candidates
  • Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations / inductions
  • Co-ordinate the Occupational Health appointments and update the spreadsheet
  • Co-ordinate the legislative training within the factory and update the training spreadsheet
  • Booking training courses
  • Maintain employee personnel files, both electronically and paper records
  • Issue new employee starter packs
  • Attend meetings and take minutes
  • Compiling letters and announcements
  • Assist with the completion of corporate information requirements
  • Support audits

Health & Safety:

  • Maintain the Safety Dashboard
  • In conjunction with Health & Safety Manager maintain the electronic and paper records
  • Assist with the completion of corporate information requirements
  • Support audits

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excel – advanced level
  • Numeracy and literacy
  • Working knowledge of HR / HSE functions and best practices
  • Previous experience HR Assistant or related position, or working towards CIPD qualifications would be an advantage
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
