We are currently recruiting for a HR Assistant to join a fantastic business in Nottinghamshire. The role is a permanent position supporting the HR Manager working hours are 8:30-4:30pm Monday to Friday.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, support the HR and Health & Safety functions with various administrative tasks.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compliance with safety rules and policies
- Ensure AS 9001, BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 45001 are complied with in all areas of responsibility
Human Resources:
- Entering employment data into the company database, payroll and employee spreadsheets
- Assisting with the hiring process, setting up interviews, contacting candidates
- Coordinating logistics for new hire orientations / inductions
- Co-ordinate the Occupational Health appointments and update the spreadsheet
- Co-ordinate the legislative training within the factory and update the training spreadsheet
- Booking training courses
- Maintain employee personnel files, both electronically and paper records
- Issue new employee starter packs
- Attend meetings and take minutes
- Compiling letters and announcements
- Assist with the completion of corporate information requirements
- Support audits
Health & Safety:
- Maintain the Safety Dashboard
- In conjunction with Health & Safety Manager maintain the electronic and paper records
- Assist with the completion of corporate information requirements
- Support audits
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excel – advanced level
- Numeracy and literacy
- Working knowledge of HR / HSE functions and best practices
- Previous experience HR Assistant or related position, or working towards CIPD qualifications would be an advantage
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
