A college in Nottingham is seeking a Catering and Hospitality Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. The role involves teaching 18 hours per week across 3 days, covering courses such as the Professional Chef Diploma Level 1, NVQ Level 3, and Prep Skills Level 2.
Day-to-day of the role:- Deliver engaging and informative lectures for the Professional Chef Diploma Level 1, NVQ Level 3, and Prep Skills Level 2.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that meet curriculum standards.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and practical evaluations.
- Provide feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Must hold a teaching qualification.
- Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Hospitality or a related field.
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- Level 3 Assessors Award is desirable but not essential.
