About Our Client

Broxtowe Borough Council serves Beeston Stapleford, Kimberley and Eastwood and surrounding areas. This role is based primarily at the Kimberley Depot where the Environment team is based. This role will have responsibility for maintenance of around 60 parks and open spaces, 15 nature reserves and cemetery and housing grounds maintenance as well, with a team of around 30 staff.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Environment Team and lead on the management of the Councils Parks and Green Spaces, Tree Management and Neighbourhood Warden section. The section includes the frontline Grounds Maintenance service as well as the strategic and policy aspect to green and blue infrastructure so providing a holistic approach to governance of the Councils Parks and Green Spaces. This role is based in the Environment Department, a team that sits very much at the heart of the Council, delivering vital front-line services in a thriving and supportive workplace.This role will require you to lead on key issues, formulating policy and strategy for Green and Blue Infrastructure, plan, deliver and monitor Business Plans for the Parks. You will be responsible for managing the staff, a team of 30 with team leaders and ensure all due diligence, health and safety and procedures are followed. There will be budgetary responsibility and ensuring a cost effective, efficient and safe service across all areas.
