Care Practitioner

Location: Nottingham, Gedling (NG4)

Pay: £11.60 per hour (£12.30 per hour for weekend shifts)

Travel Pay: 45p Per Mile

Travel Time: 16p Per Minute

Hours:

  • Morning Shift: 7:00am - 2:00pm
  • Evening Shift: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
  • Flexibility to work either one shift or both (split shifts) is available.
  • You will be expected to work 1 weekend out of every 2.

Contract Type: Long-term to Permanent

About the Role:We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Practitioner to provide high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes. You will help service users maintain their independence and dignity while assisting with personal care, medication, meals, and social activities. Your role will also involve supporting their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, and helping clients with mobility.
  • Administer medication as per individual care plans.
  • Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs.
  • Support clients with social and physical activities to promote independence.
  • Monitor health and report any concerns.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and health professionals.

Requirements:

  • A Driving Licence & access to a vehicle
  • A passion for helping others and improving their quality of life.
  • Flexibility to work the shifts outlined above, including one weekend out of two.
  • Previous experience in care or a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Willingness to participate in mandatory training when required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
