Join as a Business Management Lecturer and contribute to the dynamic teaching environment. The college are expanding due to a significant increase in student numbers and have opportunities at their campus in Nottingham.

Required skills & qualifications

Master’s or PhD in a related area with experience in lecturing. Ability to engage and teach students effectively online and in-person. Experience in designing and developing academic programmes. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Cooperative and collaborative team player. Familiarity with online virtual environments like CANVAS is desirable, though training is provided.

Day-to-Day of the Role:

Deliver high-quality teaching across core modules including Business Management, Organisational Behaviour, Digital Business, Professional Skills, Marketing, and Finance. Utilise Chunked Experiential Learning Theory and a flipped classroom format to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. Conduct lectures, workshops, skills lessons, and tutorials both on-campus and online. Create and mark assessments, provide tutorials, and supervise independent study. Engage in curriculum development and programme development to ensure relevance and rigour. Participate in administrative, recruitment, and marketing activities as required. Potential teaching during evenings and weekends, based on programme needs and lecturer availability.

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to teach and engage students online appropriately.
  • Ability to plan schemes of work, create teaching and learning materials and design assessments.

  • Business-specific academic and/or professional expertise
