Do you have experience supporting young people with autism and challenging behaviours? Have you worked with young people that have been excluded from mainstream education?

Long-term futures are excited to work with a Nottinghamshire (NG13) based independent specialist school. This school offers bespoke education for children with complex trauma, mental health, behaviour and attachment needs.

Due to the location of this role, you must have a driving license with access to your own vehicle as public transport is not reliable.

What will my role involve?

  • You will assist the class teacher with activities, lessons and lunchtime supervision.
  • Working closely with pupils to help them thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
  • You will help to implement individualised plans and interventions for pupils, providing regular and timely feedback on their progress.

How can I be successful?

  • You'll be a strong role model, with a good grasp on classroom management.
  • You will be conscious of and have a good understanding of the whole pupil journey, particularly able to manage challenging behaviours.
  • You'll be reflective and have a passion for making a difference to some of the most vulnerable children.
