We are looking to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to provide learning and pastoral support to students with various SEND Needs at a lovely school in Basford, Nottingham (NG5). The successful candidate will be working across the school's SEND Provision as well as supporting in KS1 where required. 

This position is full time, 8:30-3:30

The role is to start ASAP and will run up until April as a minimum. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND Needs who struggle to access the curriculum ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Work with pupils in KS1 with additional learning needs
  • Communicate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans.
  • Monitor student progress
  • Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing updates on the student's progress and offering support and guidance.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the student.

Requirements:

  • Have experience supporting young people with SEN (this can be paid or voluntary)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Have a DBS on the Update Service

Pay - £84.77-£90 per day - You must have at least two years SEND TA experience to qualify for the higher end of the pay scale.
