Learning Support Assistant required for a fantastic school in Nottingham for an immediately start to work on a one to one basis with a pupil with Spina Bifida and Autism. The role is Mon-Fri term time only 8am-4pm until the end of the academic year.

Key duties will include:

  • Providing learning support to students through small group sessions or individualised attention.
  • Creating or adapting resources based on recommendations and guidance.
  • Promoting an inclusive learning atmosphere throughout the entire school environment.
  • Assisting individuals or groups of students during independent or collaborative work.
  • Utilising specialized knowledge, experience, and training to deliver appropriate support to students.

The appointed candidate will:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above) and NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, experience, or skills.
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role
  • Have experience of working with children with special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of special educational needs as outlined in the SEN Code of Practice Commitment to maintaining, promoting, and improving high standards across all areas of work.
  • Exemplify personal integrity and professionalism, fostering positive, effective communication and relationships at all levels.
