Residences Director (Nottingham)
Create a culture of FM service excellence focused on delivering a world-class student experience.
UPP, the leading infrastructure and services partner to UK Universities, is looking to appoint the role of Residences Director to lead the partnership with Nottingham Trent University (NTU).
UPP is the UK’s leading provider of on-campus residential and academic accommodation infrastructure, operating over 35,000 rooms in partnership with 16 world-leading universities across the UK. UPP has forged a powerful reputation for driving innovative, student-led approaches to campus accommodation, working closely with their university partners, offering bespoke, end to end expertise and support for the lettings process to ensure maximum occupancy and revenue each year. This role will partner Nottingham Trent with one of UPP’s largest TFM contracts with circa 4,400 rooms.
The Residences Director is a key strategic role within the TFM contract with NTU, with management over a Deputy Residences Director and a group of Residence Managers. They will provide effective strategic leadership and focus on delivery to ensure that the Nottingham Trent partnership is managed in line with SLA’s in place. Taking a long-term view of partnership success, you will act as a conduit between the university and Partnership Director, keeping them updated with detailed reporting for the contract.
To be successful in role you will have significant experience of operational/contract management leadership in a comparable customer facing environment (e.g. PBSA, hospitality, hotels, education, real estate) and on an equivalent scale. You will also have extensive experience of successfully leading and managing large diverse teams, with a proven track record of implementing change management on a large scale and delivering performance improvement, ideally in a TFM environment. A high level of commercial acumen is vital including budget management and particularly financial reporting. Demonstrable success in stakeholder engagement along with creating a culture of collaboration and exceptional service delivery is essential.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 23rd February.
