About the Role:

We are partnering with a leading company in a highly regulated industry, based in Nottingham, to find an exceptional Quality Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a production-driven, results-oriented professional with a passion for maintaining high-quality standards and meeting tight regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong background in industry standards such as AS9100, IATF16949, and ISO13485, and possesses excellent leadership skills.

As the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in driving continuous improvement, managing quality processes, and ensuring compliance with strict industry regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in developing and mentoring the quality team while solving complex quality-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee the company’s quality management system (QMS), ensuring compliance with industry standards including AS9100, IATF16949, and ISO13485.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to streamline production processes and reduce waste.
  • Lead a team of quality professionals, providing mentorship, training, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Ensure that production standards meet the required quality levels, addressing any issues quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement corrective actions that lead to long-term quality improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality challenges and optimize production efficiency.
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring the company meets all regulatory and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, and customer satisfaction, and make data-driven decisions to enhance performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or in a senior quality role within a highly regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
  • Strong experience with industry-specific standards including AS9100IATF16949, and ISO13485.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience leading and developing a high-performing team.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certifications (e.g., Green Belt, Black Belt).
