The Role

Our client is currently looking for an emphatic Manufacturing Project Engineer. The successful candidate will oversee the introduction of new projects from initiation to production. The successful candidate will have experience in New Product Introduction and will be familiar with the entire process.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To take responsibility for planning, coordinating and implementing new product introduction to the business.
  • To take ownership of capturing any issues by ensuring ongoing action taken to resolve any issues by project finish.
  • To ensure quality control to company standard and to regularly report on status of the projects.
  • To develop, as well as seek CI initiatives of the NPI process.
  • To suggest and assist with improvement recommendations for all departments within the company.
  • To manage Engineering Change Control to ensure internal process changes are traced and in line with timing plans.

The Candidate

  • HNC in Engineering.
  • To have the ability to identify and deliver improvements in the manufacturing process.
  • To have proven experience in manufacturing processes as well as lean manufacturing and ISO.
  • To have some Solidworks/AutoCAD is desirable.
  • The ability to present information to audiences of varying skill levels.
