Art & Design Teacher - Nottingham-based Secondary School

  • Start date: Easter or sooner
  • Subject: Art and Design across KS3 & KS4
  • Timetable: Full-time role


Hays are working in partnership with an 11-16 Secondary School in Nottingham. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art and Design Teacher.For this role, you will be experienced in teaching all three Art and Design across Key Stage 3 and 4. This is a long-term position to start at Easter until May half-term initially, with the possibility to extend.


Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and creative Art and Design lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as Art and Design/STEM clubs and school trips.


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in art and design or related field
  • Recent experience teaching Art and Design at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
