Commercial Insurance Handler 

Nottingham

Salary - £28,000 - £35,000 

We are working with an established insurance broker who is looking for a Commercial Insurance Handler to deal with commercial combined, SME and other related insurance products based in Nottingham.

 The Role:

  • To provide new business quotations and re-market existing cases including motor fleet.
  • To ensure the broking strategy for this Nottingham based Insurance Broker is followed.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the business process is followed.
  • To be responsible for ensuring records are compliant.
  • To provide regular management information when requested.
  • To carry out all aspects of internal underwriting administration for new cases until handover.
  • Undertake specific projects as required.
  • Assisting Account Directors/Executives where required.
  • Attend courses as directed.
  • Develop relationships with preferred insurers.

The Required Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of FCA
  • Knowledge of Law of Agency, Data Protection Act and money laundering requirements.
  • Knowledge of the internal procedures as laid down in the compliance manual.
  • Knowledge of the company's T&C requirements
