Health Insurance Assistant

(6 month Temp Contracrt)

Location: Ruddington, NG11 6NZ

Set-up: 2 days WFH after probation

Hourly rate: £12.00 - £13.00 per/hour

Main Purpose of the Job:The Health Insurance Assistant will be responsible for auditing and invoicing NHS vouchers, ensuring full compliance with Health Authority guidelines on a region-by-region basis. This role will also involve NHS reconciliation and ledger management, with a focus on improving store compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and invoice NHS vouchers to ensure compliance with Health Authority guidelines.
  • Complete NHS reconciliation and manage the ledger.
  • Identify NHS vouchers that have been incorrectly completed and correct them as needed.
  • Drive improvements in store compliance by educating stores on NHS guidelines.
  • Reduce the level and value of NHS vouchers written off by maintaining regular contact with stores.
  • Conduct monthly ad-hoc tasks within the department.

Accountability:

  • Reducing the level of NHS write-offs related to vouchers that are not submitted or are rejected due to errors, by ensuring regular contact with stores.

Personal Specification:

  • NHS audit experience
  • NHS reconciliation experience
  • Focus on reducing NHS write-offs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Store Managers (SMs) and Regional Managers (RMs)
  • Experience in handling a £70M NHS turnover
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and PC literacy

Desirable:

  • Educated to GCSE grade C and above, including Maths and English
  • Ideally, proven experience in an accounts role
