Job Title: Billing Clerk

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000

Type: Full-Time, Hybrid

We are currently looking for an experienced Billing Clerk to join a very well established law firm in Nottingham. You will be a member of the wider Finance team responsible for the day to day checking and processing of the firm's bills; you will be a key point of contact across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare client bills and manage work in progress ledger
  • Ensure that bills and credit notes are calculated correctly
  • Query errors on bills with partners, fee earners and their legal support
  • Chase up any missing information
  • Process write offs, transfers and closures
  • Assist with other types of financial transactions as required

Requirements:

  • Experience of using finance systems is essential
  • Highly numerate, used to dealing with large volumes of data
  • Excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships
  • Good phone manner, able to liase with diverse clients
  • Highly accurate with a keen attention to detail
  • Positive attitude towards work
