Location: Nottingham (Hybrid Working)


My client is a rapidly growing planning consultancy specializing in urban regeneration, sustainable urban extensions, and more. They work with major developers, housebuilders, and landowners across the UK, offering expert guidance on planning applications, EIA development, and strategic planning.


They are now seeking an Assistant Planner to join the Nottingham team. You'll work on diverse projects, from urban regeneration to major mixed-use developments. You'll gain experience in securing planning permissions, negotiating S106 agreements, and identifying land opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on development potential of land and buildings.
  • Assist with planning applications, appeals, and policy research.
  • Draft representations for consultations and examinations.
  • Work closely with clients, senior officers, and other consultants.
  • Identify land opportunities and support in development delivery.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous planning experience (local government, consultancy, or development) ideal but not essential!
  • Relevant planning qualification (or working towards one).
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiasm for the planning sector and the built environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach and commitment to personal growth.
