Service Care Solutions is working alongside a community centred Local Authority, based in Nottingham, which needs a highly skilled and experienced Information Governance Solicitor to join their team. As a key member of the legal team, you will be responsible for ensuring the council's compliance with data protection laws, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.Role: Information Governance SolicitorLocation: Nottingham – hybrid working with office attendance once per weekUmbrella Rate: £50 - £55phPAYE Rate (Exc.   • Handle your own data protection law caseload from start to completion.
  • Draft, review and prepare data-sharing agreements and contractual provisions on data security.
  • Handle risk assessment and assess legal risks associated with data processing activities.
  • Advise on breach investigations and incident management. This will include regulatory engagement, including interactions with oversight bodies and compliance assessments.
Key Requirements:
  • A qualified solicitor with 3+ years of experience in Information Governance and Compliance law.
  • Have experience of litigation/police matters/wider legal procedures. 
  • Local government experience preferred or experience of working in a similar large organisation.
