Title: Real Estate Lawyer (3-10pqe)

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £65-90,000 DOE.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Real Estate Lawyer to join a leading and well-established team in Nottingham. This opportunity allows you to be part of a top-rated and award-winning group of over 150 real estate lawyers, operating across multiple UK locations.

As a Real Estate Lawyer, you will be joining our client's Nottingham Real Estate team, which is the largest in the East Midlands and has consistently been ranked 'Band 1' in Chambers & Partners and 'Tier 1' in the Legal 500. The team covers all aspects of Real Estate work and is currently expanding, making this an exciting time to join their dynamic team.

To be successful in this role, you must be an enthusiastic commercial property lawyer with a broad spectrum of experience, particularly in landlord and tenant work. Ideally, you will have 3-10 years' post-qualified experience gained within a strong regional or City firm. Our client is willing to adapt the role to match the level of experience of the chosen candidate.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • demonstrating a strong commercial acumen,
  • meeting client expectations,
  • managing cases efficiently,
  • actively contributing to business development opportunities to retain existing clients and promote expansion,
  • maintaining up-to-date technical expertise and adhering to the SRA competence standards.

In addition to your legal expertise, you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a self-starting individual. A proven track record of competent financial management, proficiency in using case management systems, electronic time recording, and general Microsoft packages, is also expected.

Notable work includes:

  • Acting for European funds on the purchase of investment properties in Oxford Street and Bond Street, the West End in the capital city for values of circa £160 million.
  • Advising Bellway Homes Limited in relation to the sales of new-build residential properties as part of the major 15 year, £1.8 billion regeneration of North Solihull.
  • Advising a prestigious national chocolate retailer for over 10 years managing all of their retail property requirements across high streets and shopping centres and train stations including their first restaurant at Borough Market.
  • Eddie Stobart's purpose-built 420,000 square foot rail-connected distribution centre at the Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) and 300,000 new build facility at Carlisle Airport - and leasehold acquisition of their large Widnes Multimodal Port site with rail facility.
