Field Service Engineer

RT  - Field Service Engineer Location: Nottingham Salary:  £25,000 - £35,000 + Door-to-Door & Van Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently searching for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.  The client is seeking a Field Service Engineer with experience in installing and maintaining door access systems, alarms, automated gates, and CCTV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and the technical expertise to install, troubleshoot, and repair security equipment effectively. Our client strongly encourages applications from ex-military personnel, but all candidates will be considered.Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Install and configure door access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric scanners, and intercoms. 
• Install and program alarm systems, including sensors, control panels, and communication devices. 
• Install and integrate automated gate systems, including motors, control mechanisms, and safety features. 
• Conduct site surveys to assess electrical requirements and determine optimal equipment placement. 
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with security systems, including wiring, power supply, and communication protocols. 
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure system reliability. 
• Provide training and technical support to clients on system usage and operation. 
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of installations and service calls. 
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations on job sites. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Experience in installing and configuring door access control systems, alarms, and automated gates. 
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, and low-voltage systems. 
• Hold relevant qualifications within the electrical field. 
• Knowledge of codes and regulations governing security system installations. 
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
• Strong communication and customer service skills. 
• Valid driver's licence. 
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
