Job Description

Reporting into the Regional Manager, you will run the Night Operation of this busy Cross Dock Distribution Centre

Shift: 17.00 to 0200 ( approx ) - 5 Nights

Key Duties

路 Supervise the night operation ensuring it is carried out in an effective, safe and professional manner

路 Proactively promote a culture of safe working practices and ensure all members of staff comply with H&S regulations

路 Act as key liaison between the Night Operation and Transport Control teams with regards to any queries / complaints or issues arising during the day.

路 Locating and moving stock of products to pallets for shipment.

路 Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies

路 Ensure KPI鈥檚 and service levels are consistently achieved by planning workloads and utilising staff available.

路 Loading and unloading delivery vehicles ensuring correct documentation is in place.

路 Ability to follow and instruct others in standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, logical manner, ensuring compliance with contractual targets.

路 Ability to work at pace

路 Checking and maintaining the warehouse and compliance with Health and Safety and company regulations.

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail/ accuracy. Conscientious and reliable
  • Able to work without direct supervision
  • Adaptable approach to work/ training
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
  • Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
  • Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually
  • Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a major distribution operation
