Location: NG15 8AESalary: £40k + Performance-Based Bonus
Are you an experienced distribution or logistics professional with a hands-on approach and a track record of driving efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements?
This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in a 44,000 sq. ft. distribution centre, working alongside the Warehouse Manager to streamline operations, implement automation, and drive cost savings while optimising stock management.
About the CompanyA well-established distribution business, they handle the majority of their logistics in-house and are now looking for an expert to take operations to the next level. A new Warehouse Management System (WMS) is being implemented, and they need someone who can ensure a smooth transition while improving stock management, waste reduction, and cost efficiencies.
Responsibilities- Oversee warehouse operations and distribution, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Support and mentor the Warehouse Manager and staff.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives, optimising stock and waste management.
- Drive automation projects and oversee WMS implementation.
- Manage third-party courier relationships, including DPD.
- Be hands-on, working on the warehouse floor when needed.
- Proven experience in distribution, logistics, or warehouse management.
- Comfortable with manual and automated warehouse processes.
- Experience with WMS systems.
- A forklift licence is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Competitive salary (£40k+) with a performance-based bonus
- Monday–Thursday (8–5) & Friday (8–4)
- Occasional Saturdays
