We are seeking a diligent and skilled Maintenance Engineer to play a vital role in my clients Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maintenance, able to ensure smooth operations and conduct necessary repairs swiftly and efficiently.

Our client is a leading player in the FMCG industry. With an established presence in Nottinghamshire, they have a robust workforce of dedicated professionals. They pride themselves on producing quality goods efficiently and are looking for dynamic individuals to join their Engineering department.

Description

  • To ensure that engineering tasks are completed by adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental and industry best practice.
  • Completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance paperwork.
  • To ensure effective hand over and department continuity through the completion of the shift hand over logbook and personnel shift report. These must be available for the oncoming shift. Reasonable time should be allowed for handover to oncoming shift. Outstanding jobs or issues must be communicated adequately.
  • To ensure that maintenance requirements are met and ensuring with the production that it is managed effectively. Minimum amount of down time due to machine breakdowns. Communication to team leader for any downtime over 15 minutes with a regular update of latest position. All downtime both engineering and production must be recorded on shift report. Attend operations meeting as requested.
  • Communicate positively to engineering request or assistance from other departments. Promote a proactive culture.
  • To ensure hygiene and house keeping standards are met and adherance to hygiene regulations.
  • To monitor machine / line efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • To make routine decisions and to accept responsibility.
  • To assist in production and trials and the conversion to full production resulting in no issues on the launch of new products. Communicate effectively any issues and concerns which may affect launch or efficient production.
  • To assist with or complete any other ad-hoc duties as they arise.

4 on 4 off (2 Days 2 Nights) - 12 Hours

Profile

A successful Maintenance Engineer/Techician should have:

  • A recognised qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
