I am working alongside a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor. They are looking to onboard a site supervisor for a new civils scheme being delivered in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have experience with groundworks and civils.
Site supervisor responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise site operations, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee the performance of team members, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including attendance, incidents, and project progress.
- Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Site supervisor requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a construction or similar environment.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff at all levels.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for reporting and record-keeping is advantageous.
- SSSTS / SMSTS.
