I am working alongside a leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor. They are looking to onboard a site supervisor for a new civils scheme being delivered in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will have experience with groundworks and civils.

Site supervisor responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise site operations, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the performance of team members, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including attendance, incidents, and project progress.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.

Site supervisor requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a construction or similar environment.
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for reporting and record-keeping is advantageous.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS.
