Site Supervisor

Location: Nationwide

Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on suitability and experience

Our client was founded in 1997 with the single and overriding goal of becoming one of the foremost specialist healthcare construction companies in the UK. Since the early days of the company their expertise and numbers have grown considerably, and they are proud to have successfully delivered well over 1000 healthcare projects nationwide varying from £50,000 to £1,000,000.

Due to expansion, they are seeking a self motivated, Site Manager to join the team, working within the Medical Pre-Installation field, overseeing projects, from commencement to completion. The ideal candidate will be either a fully qualified electrician or be an experienced Finishing Carpenter

The Role

  • The company work in healthcare, mainly hospitals, so their sites are nationwide, therefore the candidate must be willing to travel and work away from home.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination and control of the project from initial start, through to completion. Within a detailed programme.
  • Co-ordinate closely with subcontractors under their control and facilitate the safe progress of works
  • Day to day management of Subcontractors and operations on site, and ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time and quality constraints
  • Regular monitoring and liaison with the Contracts Manager on the Master Programme and development of stage/section programme as required
  • Liaise with the Contract Manager to ensure adequate labour and sub-contract resource is available on site utilising the agreed company sub-contractors
  • Plan and efficiently organise the site facilities and logistics, ensuring all equipment on site is fit for purpose and only operated by appropriately trained staff
  • Oversee deliveries and ensure they are done so in adequate time in line with the construction programme and procurement schedule
  • Co-ordinate closely with Clients on site
  • Ensure all Site Documentation and Health and Safety documentation is in order.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Electrician at least to 17th Edition or have experience working as Finishing Carpenter
  • Experience running projects from £50,000 to £1,000,000
  • Full driving licence
