Representing a leading national housebuilder in their search for anexperienced Civil/ Development Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham. This role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about progressing their technical careers within a housebuilder that truly invests in its people and communities. If you have an eye for detail and are driven to complete tasks to the highest standard, this could be the ideal role for you.

As an Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting anestablishedtechnical team to deliver quality housing across the region. You willprovide engineering support to the land and development team during feasibility studies, leading the preparation of site viability reports following current residential development regulations, and managing the involvement of external consultants. This includes identifying the need for consultants, managing fee agreements and scopes of service, and ensuring timely and accurate information flow to meet project schedules and adhere to National Housebuilding Council standards.

You willunderstand and act upon the commercial implications related to planning and design, engineering, ground remediation, and statutory services. Compliance is a key aspect of the role, where you will assist in tendering, setting up management companies on-site, and ensuring all legal aspects of various agreements are met. Additionally, you will work closely with internal departments, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and warranty approvals.

Your responsibilities will also include preparing status reports and updates on all key performance indicators related to the Technical function, managing the coordination of utilities, overseeing the adoption process, and providing engineering support to site teams. You will regularly attend technical meetings and lead discussions related to the procurement and approval of site infrastructure.
