About the Role

The Plant, Equipment and Safety Systems Manager will lead, develop, and promote the Plant, Equipment and Safety Systems (PESS) Services across Nottingham City Council Housing services (NCCHS.) You will provide strategic and operational direction, working with senior management and other key stakeholders within NCCHS to make our communities a great place to live and work. Provide high quality professional advice and information on all PESS performance and matters relating to the Construction, Repairs & Maintenance Services Management Team.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Awareness of all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
  2. Ability to present written and verbal information in a clear, professional and concise manner.
  3. Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 in Stores operations or willing to work towards.
  4. To have and maintain a working knowledge of all relevant legislation, including Health and Safety, Financial Regulations, Company Standing Orders.
  5. Experience working as a team member within a project to reach a common goal.
  6. Ability to demonstrate skills to drive and implement continuous improvement.
