Linsco are looking for a Site Manager to join one of our reputable clients in Nottingham.
Our client are a new build housing firm who do a lot of work in terms of social housing regeneration projects. They committed to maintaining safe, comfortable, and healthy living environments for residents. As part of our mission to address damp and mould issues, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead and oversee works in this critical area.
This is initially a temporary contract with the view to take the candidate on a permanent basis after a matter of a few weeks/months.
Job Description:
The Site Manager for the Damp and Mould team will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities related to the identification, remediation, and prevention of damp and mould in properties. You'll coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and maintenance teams to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring projects addressing damp and mould are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to identify damp and mould issues, assess the scope of work, and monitor progress.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house maintenance teams to ensure work quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on-site.
- Maintain clear communication with residents, ensuring they are informed about timelines and any disruptions to their living environment.
- Collaborate with surveyors and other stakeholders to implement effective solutions for damp and mould issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, risk assessments, and work schedules.
- Monitor materials and resources, ensuring availability to meet project demands.
- Resolve any on-site issues promptly and escalate concerns to senior management when necessary.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally within social housing or property maintenance.
- Strong understanding of damp and mould issues, including remediation techniques and preventative measures.
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in using project management tools and software.
- A relevant qualification in construction management or a similar field (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS Card).
