Here's what you'll be doing

We are looking for a passionate and creative digital media expert to join the UK team. As Social Media & Content Manager, you'll be working within the External affairs team to develop engaging, innovative and creative social media and website content that builds E.ONs reputation in the UK.

With a demonstrable knowledge of social media and website content, you'll be creative, opportunistic, and have a strong focus on creativity and results. You'll be calm under pressure and know how to provide great content for digital channels.

You will be responsible for delivering on the External Affairs digital strategy & creative output, collaborating with others to deliver best practice social media communications and website content.

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys collaborating with diverse teams, and feels confident communicating with corporate audiences.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver the social and content strategy across social channels focusing on corporate and political audience
  • Support the planning of social activity, targeting and delivery of topical, disruptive content that’s category-leading, striving for creative excellence
  • Leading delivery on website content projects from insights and creation to review. Delivering based on the team’s mindset of end to end delivery and on-going optimisation < Ideate, validate, create, review and iterate >
  • Leverage organic and paid-for tactics to maximise reach and engagement
  • Embody the brand tone of voice, and innovate to deliver category stand-out
  • Maintain close collaboration with different areas of the wider External Affairs team to spot opportunities to optimise awareness and engagement
  • Working with and alongside website owners in UX, analytics, and SEO to deliver best in class, content on External Affairs owned pages on eonenergy.com.
  • Collaborate with fellow content creators and editors across the business

What we need from you

Are we a match?

We’re looking for a Content Creator with the following experience and skills

  • Proven experience in delivering social media content and driving successful community engagement, while consistently implementing brand tone of voice.
  • Excellent attention to detail with knowledge of social media specs, formats and regulations.
  • Familiar with Content management platforms.
  • Demonstrated creative skills with knowledge of SEO best practice in website design and content creation
  • Familiar with social media and digital KPIs and reporting tools with the ability to leverage data to maximise reach opportunities.
  • Ability to handle multiple workstreams at pace, often reacting to changes at short notice
  • Proven experience collaborating with numerous stakeholders internally and externally.

It would be great if you had

  • Experience in writing for a corporate/political audience
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager
