Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and breakdown servicing/repairs on various machinery, including:
  • - Pneumatic and battery-operated hand banding tools
  • - Strapping machines
  • - Pallet wrapping machines
  • - Carton sealing machines
  • - Case forming machines
  • Conduct customer site visits, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and documentation.
  • Provide exceptional technical support and service to customers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all service activities via a company-provided app.
  • Train customers on machinery use as needed.
  • Foster strong customer relationships and represent the organisation positively.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Recognised apprenticeship leading to an ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a workshop environment, proficient with general workshop tools.
  • Strong engineering and assembly skills.
  • Current full driving licence is essential.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Pneumatic skills are an advantage.
  • Experience in the steel industry is preferred, but not essential.
  • Computer literate with good product knowledge.
  • Flexible approach to work and strong customer relationship skills.
