Are you an experienced Mechanical Design engineer from a highly regulated industry background looking for a wide ranging and technically challenging and role?
On offer is a position with a well established and stable organisation who employ over 200 people on site in Nottingham, working on new and existing product design work, using Inventor, with a strong focus on adhering to technical standards.
They currently require a Design Engineer to 3D Design to work on valves, components, tooling systems, stress analysis and create bills of materials.
However design is only part of this role. You will also be heavily focused on ensuring product designs meet a variety of technical and legal standards and you will be developed to become the site expert in this field.
The Role
- Full time, permanent Design engineering position with a large global manufacturer
- Designing; working to technical design codes, on a mechanical product.
- Producing data sheets, product listings and bills of material
- Strong focus on ensuring product design meet quality and compliance standards
The Person
- Academic background in mechanical engineering (degree/apprentice/HND)
- Working experience in a heavily regulated manufacturing sector (pressure vessels, dangerous goods, aerospace, nuclear etc.)
- Experience of 3D software and working to technical design codes
