Position: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Long Eaton, NottinghamshireSalary: £40,000 per annumHours: 37 per week

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (30-minute lunch)
Friday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (no lunch break)

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of award-winning products. You will be responsible for moving product designs from concept through production and ensuring high standards in every step of the process.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the mechanical design for new and existing products.
Manage product development and costings with an eye towards life-cycle management.
Create high-quality modelling and drawings at component, subsystem, and system levels in line with industry standards.

Requirements:

Essential:

A degree in engineering (Master's level preferred) with a strong mechanical focus, ideally specializing in Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics/Fluid Dynamics, Dynamics and Vibrations, or Renewable Energy.
Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in mechanical design of engineering systems.
Proven success in design cost-reduction activities.
Experience in design for manufacture and assembly.
Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks, with a strong understanding of industry-standard drawing practices.

Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels and drive projects to successful completion in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Innovative mindset with strong teamwork capabilities.
Knowledge of post-process treatments.
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
Expertise in managing robust Bills of Materials structure.
5 years of industrial experience.
