Project Engineer
Nottingham
Up to £55,000 per annum DOE.
12 month FTC.
In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work on a variety of exciting engineering projects, overseeing their journey from inception to completion. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage with stakeholders, and ensure projects meet the highest standards, whilst on time and within budget. This role will be mainly based from our client site in Burton on Trent, but will include travel to other sites including Scunthorpe.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead engineering projects across multiple UK sites, driving them from start to finish with a focus on quality, efficiency, and cost management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure projects align perfectly with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain key project documentation including URS, project plans, cost controls, and detailed reports.
- Create AutoCAD drawings, including layouts and general arrangements, to bring your projects to life.
- Coordinate with diverse teams, including operations, planning, NPD, technical, and maintenance, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, making sure every project meets the highest safety and quality benchmarks.
- Travel between UK sites (and occasionally overseas) to ensure smooth project implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
- Project Management expertise. Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish.
- Proposals & Project Planning. Strong experience in crafting compelling proposals and detailed plans.
- Commissioning & Handover experience. Demonstrated experience in product line installations, particularly within the food industry.
- Skills in AutoCAD. Ability to create 3D drawings to support project needs.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills – Juggling multiple projects.
- Be willing to travel to project sites across the UK.
- Prior experience in the food industry would be a plus. If you’ve worked on new product lines or installations, we want to hear from you.
